The split-level residence on Cedar in North Boulder, Colorado was drab and poorly laid out with zero curb appeal. Debbie and Stewart, the intrepid buyers, relied on Uitto Design Workshop to lead them through a daunting renovation. The resulting home has pleasant, liveable spaces that flow naturally and make the best use of the odd split-level footprint. Today, the house with the striking roof and bright teal front door is one of Uitto Design Workshop’s most recognized homes.

The vision for a ‘forever’ home along the banks of South Boulder Creek was clear for property owners, Barbara and Chuck. Unfortunately, they were challenged by a surprising number of hurdles and regulations, relying on Uitto Design Workshop to navigate the bureaucracy and deliver a home that reflected their vision. Positioned on the valley floor, almost every interior space enjoys the sounds of flowing water and wind blowing down the canyon walls. Nearly a decade in the making, this home is a testament to patience, vision, and dedication to great design.
